Feeding management

Calves are brought together from different places in one stable, different housing and after stress of transportation. To not add extra stress by starting feeding right away it is recommended to feed the first day elektrolytes to the calves. Thereafter starting with giving calf milk replacer increasing the concentration and amount gradually throughout the weeks, following a feeding schedule (see below). Besides milk replacer calves need to have ad libitum access to clean drinking water. Besides feeding calf milk replacer also concentrate feed has to be fed, the amount of concentrate fed is depending on the system white or rosé veal.

Start Feeding on day one with elektrolytes
